  • To receive OLEV funding, you will need:
    • To provide evidence of ownership of, or access to, a plug-in vehicle in order to be able to qualify for the governments subsidised funding scheme
    • Off-Street parking
    • Suitability of the proposed site for the installation services (the Engineer will advise on this)
    • Permission from the homeowner or landlord if you don’t own the property
    • If the Charging Point is to be located in a garage, the garage must be physically attached to the main building unless it has its own power supply with sufficient capacity to support your 16 amp or 32 amp rated charger
    • You have not claimed for the OLEV grant prior to your application
  • Potential additional costs

    The following information provides a guideline of work that is considered to be beyond the standard installation specification:

    • Cable runs exceeding 10 metre's (chargeable per metre thereafter)
    • The necessity to install a mini consumer unit c/w overload and fault current protection due to:
    • a) the properties consumer unit having insufficient capacity/protection for the charge point circuit
    • b) the homeowner wishing to have an independent charge point circuit protection from the house consumer unit
    • Any additional mechanical protection required for the cabling, i.e. trunking, conduit, etc.
    • Any cable chasing requested by the homeowner
    • Any ground works requested by the homeowner
    • The necessity to provide main equipotential bonding to gas and water services
